QUARKZMAN HSS Tap, M1.6 x 0.35 Metric Tap, Titanium-Coated, Right-Hand Thread, Pack of 3
QUARKZMAN HSS Tap, M1.6 x 0.35 Metric Tap, Titanium-Coated, Right-Hand Thread, Pack of 3
Metric Thread Size: M1.6 x 0.35 (Right Hand) Thread length: 9 mm / 0.35 inches. Total length: 38 mm / 1.5 inches. Square shaft width: 2 mm / 0.08 inches. Accuracy: H2. Material: High Speed Steel 6542 (HSS 6542) Surface: coating. Package contents: 3 pieces. Straight Flute Tap Descriptions: 1. The thread uses a straight flute design, clear threads and a right cutting direction. The tap allows for quick removal of chips downwards to achieve efficient tapping, suitable for machining through holes or shallow holes. 2. The screw tap can create new threads or re-cut damaged or blocked threads. Widely used for most metals, iron sheet, copper, zinc, alloy steel, abrasive steel, A3 steel, stainless steel, etc. Add suitable thread oil for higher quality internal threads and more durable taps. 3. The 6542 (M2) high speed steel tap provides high hardness and excellent wear resistance for durability and longevity as well as good cutting performance for clean, precise holes. The coating provides increased hardness, corrosion and rust resistance, heat resistance and reduced friction for smoother thread cutting. 4. The machine tap is used with drill presses, tapping/CNC/milling machines. Recommended feed speed: carbon steel: 6-15m/min; harder steel material: 5-10m/min; stainless steel: 2-7m/min; cast iron: 8-10m/min. Not recommended for hand and electric drilling. Tips: 1. Control the speed according to the material hardness. The higher the hardness, the slower the speed.
Product Features
- Tap size: Metric thread size: M1.6 x 0.35 (right handed); thread length: 9 mm/0.35 inches; total length: 38 mm/1.5 inches; square shank width: 2 mm/0.08 inches; accuracy: H2
- Straight flute tap: the thread uses a straight flute design, clear threads and a right cutting direction. The tap allows for quick removal of chips downwards to achieve efficient tapping, suitable for machining through holes or shallow holes.
- Widely Used Applications The screw tap can create new threads or re-cut damaged or blocked threads. Widely used for most metals, iron sheet, copper, zinc, alloy steel, abrasive steel, A3 steel, stainless steel, etc. Add suitable thread oil for higher quality internal threads and more durable taps.
- MATERIAL & SURFACE The 6542 (M2) high speed steel tap provides high hardness and excellent wear resistance for durability and longevity as well as good cutting performance for clean, precise holes. The coating provides increased hardness, corrosion and rust resistance, heat resistance and reduced friction for smoother thread cutting.
- Tips The machine tap is used with drill presses, tapping/CNC/milling machines. Not recommended for hand and electric drilling. The higher the hardness, the slower the speed. Drill the holes with a twist drill first and then cut with a tap. The cutting angle should be 90 degrees vertical and stable.
