QUARKZMAN Hex Thread Cutting Jaw M2.2 x 0.45 Metric Thread Right Thread High Speed Steel Recutting Jaw Fixed Thread Cutting Tool Repair Tool
QUARKZMAN Hex Thread Cutting Jaw M2.2 x 0.45 Metric Thread Right Thread High Speed Steel Recutting Jaw Fixed Thread Cutting Tool Repair Tool
Hex thread cutting jaws are made of high speed steel (HSS) 6542, which provides excellent hardness, wear resistance and heat resistance for durability and extended tool life. Precise, clean threads can be created on various materials including metal, plastic and wood. The hexagonal threading jaws are designed with six flat sides for easy gripping and turning during application for ease of use and control. No special brackets required, any sufficiently large wrench will do. Tapping jaws can edit, correct or clean external threads. Suitable for thread machining on stainless steel, aluminum alloy, cast iron, copper, iron, aluminum, plastic, etc. in pipes, plates, machine maintenance and repair. Used for re-cutting existing threads in hard materials such as metals and creating new threads in soft materials such as plastics. Hexagonal re-cutting jaws can be used with a tapping die (also called a tapping handle or tapping key) to achieve efficient and stable thread cutting. They need to be turned over regularly to remove the chips from the chip removal hole. When tapping, apply suitable cutting oil to the cutting edge of the jaw. Ensure the workpiece is firmly clamped or fixed to prevent movement during tapping. When turning the metric jaw clockwise, apply even pressure to maintain alignment and avoid tilting. After thread cutting, clean the workpiece and remove metal chips or deposits.
