Optocoupler PC817 4 Pieces 1 Channel 3-5V | Signal transmission up to 5 kHz, compact design with screw terminals, for automation projects
In electronics development and automation projects, sensitive control circuits often have to be separated from more powerful load circuits. Without galvanic isolation, interference pulses and voltage spikes can damage the microcontroller or trigger unwanted switching processes. The set of four 1-channel optocoupler PC817 modules works with 3V to 5V input voltage and switches output voltages up to DC 24V. Each module is equipped with a PC817 chip that separates control and load side potential-free. This prevents reactions and protects sensitive components. Wiring is done via integrated 5.0mm screw terminals. Incoming signals are neatly transmitted to the output, with the maximum signal frequency being around 5 kHz. This is sufficient for many switching, control and control applications in the hobby and professional sector. As the four boards work independently, different voltages can be controlled at the same time. In addition to the pure isolation function, the optocoupler module can also be used when the output current of a controller is not sufficient - it then acts as a driver stage. Each module undergoes a functional test before shipping. With four identical units, redundancy and flexible project design are possible - for secure signal resolution and lasting protection of your control electronics.
Product Features
- Galvanic isolation for clean signals: The 1-channel optocoupler PC817 reliably isolates control and load circuits and protects microcontrollers from interference caused by inductive loads such as motors or relays - ideal for signal resolution in automation projects.
- Flexible voltage range 3-5V input: the module operates with an input voltage of DC 3V to 5V and outputs an output voltage up to DC 24V. This makes it easy to adapt 3.3V or 5V systems to higher voltages.
- Signal transmission up to 5 kHz: The optocoupler isolation module processes switching and control signals with frequencies up to about 5 kHz. It is suitable for slow to medium speed control tasks, level adjustment and noise suppression on the signal line.
- Compact design with screw terminals: Each of the 4 boards has 5.0 mm screw terminals that allow low-tool and secure wiring. The modules can be used individually and can be mounted to save space in control cabinets or on top hat rails.
- Versatile also as a driver: In addition to isolating function, the PC817 model can also serve as a power amplifier, such as when the output of a microcontroller is too weak to drive transistors or small loads.
