Nooelec SAWbird+ H1 - Premium Saw Filter and Cascaded LNA Module (Low Noise Amplifier) for Hydrogen Line Applications (21 cm). 1420MHz Center Frequency. Designed for Software Defined Radio (SDR)
Comprehensive product information can be found on the product page at nooelec.com! SAWbird+ H1 is a self-contained LNA module for hydrogen line applications at 1.42 GHz. It has very high attenuation outside the 65MHz bandpass range centered close to 1.42GHz and gain of at least 40dB at frequency of interest. The rated current consumption is 120 mA. SAWbird+ H1 does not contain the same 50 ohm reference as SAWbird+ H1 barebones. Therefore, this module has a lower noise figure of ~ 0.8 dB versus ~ 1.05 dB for SAWbird+ H1 barebones. The SAWbird+ series contains two extremely low noise LNAs arranged around a specially designed high-performance SAW filter with the desired frequency. Each LNA module has EMI shielding to separate the LNAs from external interference. Each module offers 3 different power options, but you should only use one option at a time! The recommended power supply via the SMA output port (for bias - T - capable SDRs such as the NESDR SMArTee XTR) is 3V-5V DC. If you do not have a bias-T-enabled SDR, you can also use the external power options via the micro USB port or the power input head (0.1" socket). It is important to note that on some SDRs, the ESD protection diode is triggered by the LNA when it is powered externally. Of course, you can still use the LNA with these SDRs, but you'd need to install a DC block between the LNA and the SDR. This can be as simple as a verze
