Magnetic Base: This miniature magnetic base is one of the most compact and economical magnetic bases available today. It has an anodized aluminum upright attachment piece and a powerful rare earth magnetic base with 40 pounds of holding power. It is compact measuring just 1-1/4 inch high and 1 inch in diameter. The upright attachment piece contains one mounting hole tapped with 1/4-20 threads. This compact magnetic base will accommodate dial indicators with a lug back and ensure they stay in place for accurate measurements. A dial indicator can pivot a full 170 degrees. Dial indicator features The body is made of machined anodized aluminum and NOT plastic. Has vertical lug back configuration. Has 1 inch of total travel with graduations in 0.0005 (that's half a thousandth) per line. Accuracy guaranteed to 0.001 per 1 inch of travel. Each indicator comes with inspection certificate. Spindle rack pinions and gear trains are made of high-quality steel components ensuring long life. Does not come with plastic case.
