Product Features
- Quick self-test to detect C-reactive protein (bacterial infection or inflammation). The C-reactive protein (CRP) is a non-specific marker mainly produced by the liver and is used to diagnose bacterial infectious diseases and inflammatory diseases. The CRP is a very sensitive and fast-appearing indicator, which can therefore be helpful in deciding on antibiotic treatment.
- Depending on the CRP concentration, different lines appear on the test that allow a semi-quantitative interpretation of the test result: in healthy people, the CRP concentration is below 8 mg/L, while in severe infections or during an inflammatory process it can increase to over 100 mg/L. Values between 8 and 100 mg/L are associated with more or less mild viral or bacterial infections.
- If you notice acute infection symptoms such as fever, headache or weakness, the CRP screen test can detect inflammatory reactions in the body early and distinguish bacterial from viral infections. The CRP screen test can be performed at any time of the day.
- The CRP screen test is accurate and has been used for more than 10 years by professionals in this field (hospitals, laboratories...). The evaluation reports show accuracy of at least 98.94% of the results. Please note that although this test is highly reliable, incorrect results can be achieved.
