Detects Ammonia in water for industrial\napplications and bioreactors, NOT AQUARIUMS Strips calibrated at 0, 10, 25,\n50, and 100 ppm and gives results in just seconds No expensive equipment or\nextra chemicals or needed for accurate results Long plastic strip enables you\nto keep your fingers away from the solution and prevents finger staining Read\nmore Instructions: Remove one test strip from the container and replace the\nlid. Dip the test strip into the solution being tested for 1 second. Remove\ntest strip, and shake off excess water. Compare strip to the color chart after\n5 seconds. Do not wait more than 10 seconds to compare to the color chart. The\ntest strip works by using two pads in the test pad “sandwich” – the first pad\ncreates an alkaline environment which converts all of the ammonia\/ammonium\npresent to ammonia. The second pad employs a hydrophobic material and\nindicators to detect the ammonia present. IMPORTANT NOTE: The color chart\nreads as ‘ppm ammonia-nitrogen’, not as ppm ammonia. As a result, a reading of\n100 ppm on the color chart of ammonia-nitrate is equivalent to 122 ppm as\nammonia.
