Adafruit VL53L4CX Time of Flight Distance Sensor, Approx. 1 to 6000 mm, STEMMA QT/Qwiic, 5425
Adafruit VL53L4CX Time of Flight Distance Sensor, Approx. 1 to 6000 mm, STEMMA QT/Qwiic, 5425
The Adafruit VL53L4CX Time of Flight Sensor is your choice for precise distance measurements up to 6 metres. Ideal for projects where you need accurate distance data, because compared to other sensors, the light beam is extremely narrow and accurate. This sensor uses a tiny, invisible laser module and can measure the 'Time of Flight', i.e. the time it takes for the light to rebound. Perfect if you need accurate location of the surface directly in front of the sensor. Unlike ultrasonic or IR sensors, you have no linearity problems or multiple images. Features: Range of approx. 1 to 6000 mm. Multi- object detection: captures more than one object and reports the distances Uses I2C for communication - easy to connect with two data lines plus power and ground Compatible with 3-5V microcontrollers With SparkFun qwiic and STEMMA QT connectors for easy plug and play You need a microcontroller with more than 50K flash memory such as a SAMD21, SAMD51 or ESP, as the Arduino driver requires a lot of memory. The sensor comes on a convenient breakout board that has integrated a voltage regulator and level shifter, so you can get started right away.
