The foam pad (also referred to as hydrocellular foam by other\nmanufacturers) should be laid down on exuding wound as well as covering the\nwound edge. The foam pad is non-adhesive (as long as wound has enough exudate\nto keep foam moist), and provides superior absorption, up to 60 ml of exudate,\nmaking it suitable for moderate to highly exudative wounds. It remains intact\nwhen saturated, may be removed in one-piece, and may be used in combination\nwith other topicals. 2- BACKING LAYER: The thin, soft, breathable PU backing\nlayer is reinforced with a white, non-woven Spunlace fabric mesh. 3- ADHESIVE\nLAYER: The wider than average adhesive border measures 1.2” all around the\nfoam pad, and helps maintain the dressing in place as the absorbed exudates\ntend to weigh it down.
