Brennan 2403-04-04-SS, Stainless Steel JIC Tube Fitting, 04MJ-04MJ Coupler, 1/4" Tube OD 0.25 Inch
Brennan 2403-04-04-SS, Stainless Steel JIC Tube Fitting, 04MJ-04MJ Coupler, 1/4" Tube OD
The Brennan 2403-SS series MJ coupler is made of stainless steel and connects to tubing on both ends. This mechanical joint coupler connects pipes or tubing in a straight run and is made of stainless steel for strength and resistance to scaling and corrosion. This fitting has Joint Industrial Council (JIC) flared construction for a stronger connection than soldered, long-term reliability, and for use in installations where flames or heat are not allowed. The operating temperatures range from -425 to 1200 degrees F. The working pressure for this fitting is up to 6000 pounds per square inch (psi). It has hex nut construction for tighter, leak-free connections, and meets Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) specification J514 for quality assurance. Pipe and tube fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. Flared fittings are alternatives to solder-type joints and are used when the use of an open flame from a soldering iron is impractical or prohibited. The most common flare fitting standards are the 45-degree and 37-degree flare. When purchasing fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).Brennan Industries manufactures critical flow components. The company, founded in 1953 and headquartered in Solon, OH, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 standards and its fittings meet Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) specifications.
