From the Manufacturer The PanaVise 303 standard vise head is a versatile and rugged general work-holding tool head suitable for hobbies, electronics and small home repairs. The 303 standard vise head is compatible with all PanaVise 300 series work-holding tool bases. It ships with smooth, insulated jaw pads that that provide gentle holding power, and are heat-tolerant and insulated from electrical current. A General Use Head Compatible with All 300 Series Bases The PanaVise 303 standard head is a work-holding tool accessory designed for general versatility. The vise head is 4-1/4" (108 mm) tall and weighs 1.5 lb. (0.7 kg), with a shaft length of 2-1/8" (54 mm). Its shaft diameter is 5/8" (15.9 mm), which makes it compatible with the full product line of PanaVise 300 series bases. The vise is opened and closed with a traditional outer jaw screw mechanism with a sliding handle. The jaws of the PanaVise 303 standard head open up to 2-1/4" (57.1 mm), with the inner edges of the jaws covered by nylon jaw pads (included). The jaw pads measure 2-1/2" (63.5 mm) (w) x 1/2" (12.6 mm) (h). They are heat resistant, with continuous tolerance to 200 degrees F (93 degrees C) and intermittent tolerance to 300 degrees F (149 degrees C), can be replaced in the event of wear, and provide both gentle holding power and electrical insulation. A variety of additional jaw pads with materials and features designed for more specific uses are available for additional purchase.
