It can measure the ambient temperature between -25℃ to +85℃. The\r\ntemperature is measured with an accuracy of ± 2.0℃ across the temperature\r\nrange. The TMP102 is capable of reading temperatures to a resolution of\r\n0.0625°C The chip is a slave I2C device. A host processor will communicate\r\nwith the TMP102 using the standard I2C protocol. The address of the chip is\r\nselectable on the breakout board. There are also two pullup resistors for the\r\ntwo I2C signals. The device is specified to operate over supply voltages from\r\n1.4 to 3.6 V with the maximum quiescent current of 10 µA over the full\r\noperating range. The device is specified for operation over a temperature\r\nrange of –40°C to 125°C. The TMP102 device operates as a slave device only on\r\nthe two-wire bus. Connections to the bus are made through the open-drain I\/O\r\nlines, SDA and SCL. Because these signals are both open drain, the TMP102 can\r\noperate on both +3.3V and +5V Host MCUs. The board routes the +3.3V to power\r\nthe TMP102 and to the pullup resistors for the open drain lines. The TMP102\r\ndevice supports the transmission protocol for both fast (1 kHz to 400 kHz) and\r\nhigh-speed (1 kHz to 2.85 MHz) modes. All data bytes are transmitted MSB\r\nfirst.
