The bits\nare made from S2 steel that's heat-treated to a higher hardness (58–62 HRC) to\nhelp maintain their geometry under stress. The inside of the socket's drive\nend has smooth walls with no detent grooves to support engagement with drive\ntools that use friction ring anvils.
