The FM receiver uses a mixer to\nreduce the RF signal to a low intermediate frequency, thereby reducing\nadditional peripheral circuit components. Automatic frequency control (AFC)\nadjusts the voltage-controlled oscillator to generate a quadrature local\nsignal to the mixer. The output is amplified, filtered and digitized by a\nhigh-resolution analog-to-digital converter (ADC). Digital signal processing\n(DSP) can perform channel selection, FM demodulation and stereo audio\nprocessing. The internal automatic gain (AGC) circuit controls the gain of the\nlow noise amplifier (LNA) to make it have higher sensitivity and stronger\nnoise suppression. The on-chip integrated L DO regulator can be directly\nconnected to the battery. The earphone jack can be used as an RF receiving\nantenna by plugging in the earphone. This advanced architecture has superior\nperformance compared with traditional analog architecture. The module also has\na 150mW stereo power amplifier with thermal short-circuit protection and a\n3.5mm headphone holder onboard. It can be connected with the single-chip\nmicrocomputer to control the volume, automatically and manually search\nchannels, software or hardware mute, and measure the signal strength.
