In fact, the manufacturer Infineon suggests that it could be used to\nmake a joystick. You can also use it for other cool things, such as detecting\nobjects with attached magnets, such as the lid of a box, or maybe a statue\nthat unlocks your secret hideout when you place it on your mantle? The TLD493D\nis characterized by measuring nearby magnetic fields in three dimensions. It\nis not a good compass, it is not sensitive enough to absorb the Earth's\nmagnetic field, but you can use it to track the movement of nearby magnets in\nthree dimensions. Here are a few specifications: Digital output via 2-wire\nbased standard I2C interface up to 1Mbps\/sec. 12-bit data resolution for each\nmeasuring direction. Bx, By and Bz linear field measurement up to +130 mT\nExcellent tuning of X\/Y measurement for accurate angle detection. As we will\nnot, we have made the TLV easy to use by placing it on a breakout circuit\nboard along with the circuit for support. A voltage regulator and logic level\nshift make it combined to make it usable with a range of microcontrollers with\neither 3.3V or 5V logic levels. We even give you a pin so you can use the\nexcess 3.3V juice that is not needed by the TLV493D. We also equipped the\nbreakout with SparkFun Qwiic compatible STEMMA QT connectors so you can use it\nwith other similarly equipped boards without the need for soldering. Since the\nTLV493D I2C \"speaks\", you only need two wires (in addition to the power\nsupply) to connect to your microcontroller, and you can share these pins with\nother I2C sensors. The manufacturer Infineon was kind enough to provide a\nlibrary to use the sensor with Arduino, and we wrote one to use it with\nCircuitPython and Python for use on Raspberry Pi and other Linux computers.\nDimensions: 25.4 x 17.8 x 4.6 mm.
